Geoffrey is an ancient Guardian of the Keep as well as its historian and librarian.

He is described in the books as having a "...pale face, a stark, unsettling white when combined with the black eyes, feathery black eyebrows, black hair with a pronounced widow's eak, the black tunic and trousers, and the most sensuous blood-red lips...ever seen on anyone, man or woman."
Geoffrey is the last of his race which is assumed to have died out long before even Saetan SaDiablo even recalled their names and was ancient when Saetan was young.
Geoffrey is often silent and will appear and disappear as he sees fit.

It is mentioned in Heir to the Shadows that Geoffrey wears a single Red Jewel ring. Whether this is his Birthright jewel or the one he recieved after his own Offering to the Darkness remains unknown.
